Women’s Skills Camps
Want to ride with more confidence and less hesitation? Find your flow? Get airborne? A two-day skills camp with me is just what you need!
Day 1 – Finding your Flow
Imagine your favourite trail. The one that puts the biggest smile on your face – you always hit all your lines, you rail the corners, you feel like an absolute boss! Would you like to be able to replicate that feeling time and again? Yes? Good answer!
Our first day will be spent on looking at all the facets of mountain biking which enable us to do just that. Why is good body position so important? How can you optimise your line choice? How and when should you brake? What can you do to make a corner smoother? How does pumping the trail help?
We’ll break it all down and look at each element in isolation before putting it all back together again to make you a more confident and decisive rider.
Day 2 – Taking it to the Next Level
With confidence comes the desire to try new challenges – a more technical line, a drop-off, a jump even. Our second day will cover everything you need to know to safely tackle obstacles such as drop-offs and jumps, plus how to tackle steeper sections and technical trails.
I am super excited to share all of my knowledge and experience with you! Check out the dates here, and don’t hesitate to drop me a line with any questions if needed.
What we’ll cover:
- Good body position – what it is, and why it’s so important.
- Good braking technique for better confidence and control
- Cornering technique – for both flat and bermed corners
- How to make good line choices
- Why pumping is so useful, and how to do it.
- Drop-off & manual technique
- Jumping technique (and how to squash a jump when you don’t want to take off!)
- How to tackle steep and/or technical sections of trail
